Our TESL Manitoba Conference 2026 is on Friday, March 6! So, we are actively seeking your input in the following categories:

  • Call for Proposals: If you have anything and everything to share about Stage 1 training, incorporating Indigenous history and culture, tech and AI, supporting newcomers outside of the classroom, we would love to learn from you! Submit your 300 word proposal here (your presentation time will be 40 min + 10 min for Q&A)
  • Call for Volunteers: We are looking for a few volunteers to support the day of the conference. From hanging out name tags, to showing the way to the rooms, to answering questions, little tasks like that  usually highly contribute to the success of the event. If you are willing to make the conference day successful, please email us at teslmanitoba.conference@gmail.com
  • Call for Speakers:  We are looking for two speakers: not necessarily ESL teachers but it would be helpful for the person to understand what we are going through right now. One – who can speak for 15-20 minutes about gratitude and one who can speak about resilience/change /perseverance in life. Please contact us via teslmanitoba.conference@gmail.com
  • Call for ESL/EAL Student Speakers: We are looking for 3 EAL/ESL students who would like to thank their teachers. The time commitment is 5-7 minutes; CLB 5-8. Share your recommendations with us via teslmanitoba.conference@gmail.com
  • Call for Acknowledgements: Let us know if you or another teacher you know who is retiring or changing to a different career – we will be honored to acknowledge them. Forward any recommendations to teslmanitoba.conference@gmail.com
